About Us
At GamerSource we help players make better decisions about game server hosting and get the most out of their favorite games — Minecraft, ARK, Rust, Valheim, Palworld, and Roblox.
Who We Are
GamerSource is run by Juan Gonzalez, a Minecraft and ARK player since 2020 who started this site to share the server setups and hosting tests he wishes he’d had when he was starting out. Everything published here is written and reviewed by Juan personally — the same hands that set up the servers, tamed the dinos, and redeemed the codes.
What We Do
We test and compare game server hosting providers, evaluating hardware performance, technical support, ease of setup, and price-to-value ratio. We also track Roblox updates closely to keep our code lists current and tested.
Our Testing Methodology
Every hosting provider we recommend is evaluated against the same checklist before it earns a spot on this site:
- Published hardware specs (CPU generation, RAM, storage) cross-checked against real reviews on Trustpilot and forums like SpigotMC.
- Support response time, tested directly when possible or verified through consistent community reports.
- Pricing transparency: if a provider raises the price after the first month, we flag it.
- Refund policy and guarantees, so you know the real risk before you pay.
- Real-world server behavior for each game we cover — RAM scaling, lag under load, mod compatibility.
Not every provider we mention has been tested on our own server — where we haven’t, we rely on verified specs and third-party reviews, and we note it clearly in the article.
About Juan Gonzalez
Juan Gonzalez is the founder and sole writer at GamerSource. He’s been playing Minecraft since 2019 and managing game servers since 2020, has tamed more ARK creatures than he can count, and has hosted everything from small private Rust servers to modded communities. When he’s not breaking servers on purpose to test their limits, he’s chasing down new Roblox codes to verify before they expire.
How We’re Funded
We use affiliate links with some hosting providers — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This doesn’t affect our recommendations: we only suggest hosts we’d actually use ourselves.
